We only buy diamonds for You on the primary market in Antwerp. We do not use the services of second-hand shops to eliminate the risk of using stolen or smuggled stones.
We also polish them at the Antwerp masters, although sometimes raw diamonds are sent to other jewelry centers. There are centers on the world map that specialize in grinding a certain type of stones or the method of their processing.
The work of grinders is assessed on a four-point scale: from correct to perfect cut, so the English grades are: Fair, Good, Very Good and Excellent. At La Marqueuse, we only use the last two. Precise cuts give diamonds value and bring out the beauty hidden in them. Artfully prepared stones go to our Atelier in Warsaw.
