The Beginning - Birth of an Idea
Twenty years ago, in an era before the internet and easy access to information, Urszula Dmowska‑Gęsiorek leafed through a French jewelry dictionary. Her gaze stopped on the word La Marqueuse—“She who marks.” The gem‑evaluator who assesses a raw stone and determines the cut that will reveal its future brilliance. In order to draw out its beauty, she must see more. She must feel. After years of working in the jewelry industry, a dream became reality. In 2006, La Marqueuse was born in Warsaw, with the intention of introducing a brand of jewelry that represents unsurpassed craftsmanship and remarkable character.
The First Atelier and Loyalty Forged in Gold
Crafting jewelry of truly distinctive character is a challenge, but when it flows from the heart, anything is possible. A few years later, La Marqueuse opened its first Atelier. Hence began a new chapter - one of loyalty and mutual respect. One of its leading figures is Mr. Bernard, a master jeweler who joined La Marqueuse nearly two decades ago and still helps write each new page in the brand’s ongoing story.
Symbolic Beginnings - The Rose Collection
Ten years ago, La Marqueuse unveiled its signature collection: Roses - A fresh beginning - an emblem of rebirth and transformation. In medieval literature, the rose symbolized spiritual enlightenment; for La Marqueuse, it became a metaphor for growth, evolution, and the relentless pursuit of perfection. That very symbolism inspired a bespoke porcelain installation crafted by artist Dominika Donda - an artistic tribute to the collection’s enduring legacy.
